  1. I just found a great YT video that shows Cura 15.04.06. I downloaded it and I simply love it. It is fast and has "Split object into parts". Both speed and this feature are missing in Cura 5. I wonder what is happening here. Why is the 3 years old version version 15.04.06, and the latest one (I guess it's the current actively maintained version) is only version 5? Thank you!
  2. Wow, I didn't expect you to change parameters for each model.
  3. Thank you, but when I go to the profile dialog, and I click the profile there, it should work the same, right?
  4. Hello! I want to select an ABS profile. To do that, I select "Material -> Generic ABS". However, that does not change / do anything. The profile on the right side stays just the same. I was expecting that changing the material loads a profile / preset.
  5. Hello! I have selected one of my custom profiles. I have then changed the temperature, and to show that something has changed, the star becomes enabled: I want to save the changes, so I click the star. The first thing that surprises me: Cura knows which profile I am currently using / editing, but it is not selected. I have to select it manually: Now when I do that, it does not show my temperature change: I click "Update profile", but it is still not shown in the Profile. What am I doing wrong? Thank you!
  6. ps: "Discard or Keep changes" should simply be removed (or there should be an option to activate it again for existing users who love it). Default behaviour should be: If the user makes changes to a profile, it should be saved when the user presses a "Save" button" like that: If he does not press Save, it's temporary. Problem solved.
  7. I understand the OP's problem 100%! This window is badly designed, confusing and needs a make-over. Nobody (without twisting his mind) easily understands what Cura wants. Contributing to the confusion is the fact that there seems to be a bug which triggers this "discard / keep" message even if nothing was changed. And about the language: Come on, he was just very direct. Not rude. And your customer!! The way he explained everything already showed his dedication to this issue.
  8. Hello! I have a dual extruder printer (Sovol SV04). I want to make it so the support structures are printed with water-solvable PVA from Extruder #1. The model should be printed with PETG from Extruder #2. Does Cura have an option for that? Thank you!
  9. Hello! I'm really new to Cura, so perhaps I just don't get it, but on the other hand, the following looks like a bug to me. I have recorded a video here: There is a text on the object to indicate which side is just shown: In the video, you can see how I try to use the "Select face to align to build plate" tool. I click it to activate it, then I click the face that I want to use. The first few clicks, it doesn't work, so I try it again and again. I select and deselect the model. Then, finally, it works. You can see how the text disappears (this means that the other side is now shown).AKMAX_joycase t2 v1.3mf The model is attached. I can reproduce this behaviour. Thanks for your time.
  10. I am just using Cura for the first time. This is what my model looks like in Fusion 360: Here is a close-up look: And this is what Cura creates for me: I assume the turquoise area is a support structure. Why does it do that? Also, I don't understand why it marks the edges as red. I assume this means that there is problem. Thank you!
