I had the same problem, I appear to have solved it by adjusting my 3D settings to force my high performance graphics card to be used by default. In this case opening the nvidia control panel -> Manage 3D Settings -> Global Settings -> Preferred Graphics Card = High Performance NVIDIA Processor I suppose perhaps creating a profile specifically for Cura might work too.
