  1. We struggled from the beginning a bit with the printing qulity of the breakaway material. This time it was a combinatnion of bad printing and the ground material which did no stick properly to the plate. Does anyone has some succestions to improve the general printing quality of the breakaway material?
  2. Have to check the bed temperature next time. I think it was warm. There are white areas on the brim where you can see that the material is getting loose from the bed. Like material warpage of the main body. With gluestick it should work well but without as well=).
  3. How can i improve addhesion of the filament on the glas plate? I added a brim to many parts but also the brim layer is getting loose in the printing proces. Many parts had issues with the flatness lately.
  4. We had constantly issues with the second extruder. Somethimes the extruder did move with the rubber plate into the feeddrop. In the beginning the feeddrop was a solution to avoid issues with the breakaway filaments. Today we discovered that the rubber plate was discolored because of the the heat. The Ulitimaker is only 5 months old. This was stranges for us because this core was not in use so often, compared to the first core with PLA. The extruder tip was always disolored and had residues of the material. Does anybody had similar issues? Why do we have this issue? Can i remove the rubber plate ? Any solutions to fix this issue? Thank you for the support.
  5. Yes, to vertical 😁 The boat was the first test print and it came out well. But we had some troubles afterwards thats why I started with a specific testpart. I got your point I think it makes sense just to work with the printer and the sorftware and learn with parts that you really need, inspect and adapt=).
  6. hi gr5, Thank you very much for your response. This helps a lot, especially for me as a beginner. I will make a new part with a smaller angle, maybe 30°. I will try to print it the same part again with some "fake" parts beside the main part. It sounds strange but i think it is a good idea👍 I choose the size beacause i wanted to try diffrent settings and learn to work with cura an the ultimaker, without printing too many meters of filament🙂 Normaly we do not have small spherical parts like my test part.
  7. We just recently received our new Ultimaker S5 latly. We are currently still in the process to find the right settings. I made a test part to try out some of the settings in Cura and compare the quality. Unfortunatly, we do not have an expert on this printer in our company. The last print shown in the picture was the best print so far. Does anybody have any tips how to improve the quality: Spherical surface Slanted surface Current settings used in Cura: Engineering fine with the following additional settings. Dicke der Stützstrukturschnittstelle: 0.5 Whipe-Abstand der Aussenwand: 0.3 Unteres/oberes Muster: Zickzack Thanks in advanced for your tips.
