  1. Sorry for awakening this very old thread. I just purchased a PEI flex plate for my S5 and S3 from Aliexpress. Looking at the thickness of the magnet (1.4mm), I'm considering getting a 2.5mm aluminium plate to stick the magnet onto. What do you guys think? I think the Alu will provide a good temperature spreader and ensure a good heat distribution. My expectation is that this would work better than sticking the magnet onto the glass.

It looks quite a bit like your read and write. The end part is quite different. I notice that your UID is much shorter than mine. Did you get the NTAG216 tags or did you get a 213 or 215?
  3. I'll compare the logs with my logs some time this week.
  4. Ok thanks. Good to know I'm not the first. It should be fine with the polycarbonate spool.
  5. When I dried my spool of nylon filament, the spool decided to die on me. Has anybody seen this before? I did not expect the polypropylene to do this. I'll respool this onto a PC spool that has a much higher GTT. This can be used with my simple reuse adapter for the ultimaker RFID tags.
  6. I made a simple spiral printed holder to mount the NFC tag on a generic 750gr spool. Works fine. It is also possible to stick 25mm RFID tags on these and reuse them. This helps respooling spools.
  7. I'm a big fan of the Igus products. It is super handy and works very well. At this point I'm primarily working with I150, but will be looking into the other products at some point. Using it though, I get the feeling that there is a big similarity between I150 and Ultimaker Breakaway. They feel very similar and produce similar results for my feeling. Are they the same? There is not really a reason to switch for only the price as they cost about the same. Are some of the other Igus products an option for higher temperature support?
  8. The code is hitting a "sentry-native" entry when looking for the latest version of Cura. For windows it is looking in: from winreg import HKEY_CURRENT_USER, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, KEY_READ, OpenKey, QueryValueEx, EnumKey, QueryInfoKey. It also adds CURA_USER_DIR = os.path.join(os.getenv('APPDATA'), 'cura') Are you using my branch or the branch of the original poster? I added a filter to remove these entries.
  9. What's new?
  10. If I print a bucket load from one core, I usually put a BB core in the second slot without filament in the BB core for this very reason. The printer will not run with one core. I guess it adds too many edge cases in the softwareif one core can be missing.
  11. Here is another that would like to try the STL.
  12. I also remember this in the UM3 menu. Did it disappear? Looking at the Factor4 documentation there is also a mention about the settings in the menus. The latest S3 and S5 firmware lacks it, though. I suspect my cooling fans aren't running and will need to check it somehow. Pity that this is removed. EDIT: Just checked my one printer that has developer enabled. The SSH terminal is quite stripped down in the 9.0 software. Searching for an input there seems to be tricky. In the API there is also no option to control the fans (that I could find). What are my options?
  13. I think I found it. in the quality dir there are the necessary settings and there the values need to be added to do the 0.8 core. That is also looked up by cura.
