  1. I was looking for a way to print more efficient support structures. The Tree type are pretty cool but not quite what I had in mind of what i was looking for. I really thought an 'arches' or 'webbing' mode would already exist in which it would create an arch with internal angle that your printer can manage to print. Most printers capable of creating a 50 deg.. see the following sketch where the support is bridging from the part and not the ground. I was hopeful when i learned about adding primitives as supports that it might realise that its pressed right up against a surface and bridge to the nearest part.. but it just goes from the ground. I know it wouldn't always be the most efficient or part friendly way to print supports but it would be especially useful as an option when manually placing primitives as supports.
