ulticontroller – Sleep mode

Hey,

So i'm at a faire for the weekend . I have been printing for a few hours .

Every few prints the controller stops the machine just before it prints the object and displays "sleep" on the ulticontroller display.

It's becoming a pain, so I was wondering what causes it?

Cheers

Kym

"Sleep" is most likely the result of a MINTEMP or MAXTEMP error, this error does not display correctly on the display yet, and thus is shown as a Sleep (or dwell in older versions)

Check your temperature sensor connections, this is usually the problem, they need to be very tight.

Yep, that in one of the few screws I have never tightened up.

Thanks, I have a whole other day of printing bottle openers and i'm key chain hangers.

    Cheers

    Kym

      • Ultimaker Cura 5.6 stable released
Cura now supports Method series printers!

A year after the merger of Ultimaker and MakerBotQQ, we have unlocked the ability for users of our Method series printers to slice files using UltiMaker Cura. As of this release, users can find profiles for our Method and Method XL printers, as well as material profiles for ABS-R, ABS-CF, and RapidRinse. Meaning it’s now possible to use either Cura or the existing cloud-slicing software CloudPrint when printing with these printers or materials
