Missing holes in front panel?

Recommended Posts

Posted · Missing holes in front panel?

Hi Guys,

I just started the Ultimaker adventure! However, it already came to a stand-still.

It looks like i'm missing 2 slots and 1 hole in the front panel. Can someone confirm that?

I attached a pic. It's the slots under the logo...

The original lasercut drawing have them... not sure why your's doesn't... maybe the lasercutter accidentally skipped over them... the bottom plate has the pins?

you could either cut holes into the front panel yourself, or cut off the pins on the bottom plate to make it fit. I don't think this is a mission-critical link.

Neither do I..

Does the back of the front panel have any marks at all where those slots & hole should be?

Hi,

My front panel is missing those slots and a hole too. Easiest way to fix this part is to cut the extra two pins off from bottom panel and drill a hole in front panel for supporting screw. There is no markings for these holes.

Hi,

I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

You can file/cut away the middle front pins of from the bottom plate to solve the problem quickly.

The holes are left out of the front panel because of a slightly altered bottom plate, see picture.

It can serve as a hole to brush out debris and to guide trough cables for add-ons.
