Feeder-stepper making pulsing noise when retracting material.

Posted · Feeder-stepper making pulsing noise when retracting material.

My ultimaker2 recently started making a strange noise: The feeder pulses when retracting material. This happens when I'm changing material. It making strange noises after I updated the firmware with Cura.

I wonder why this happens and what I can do to fix it. (I haven't done the obvious: running the firmware-updater again)

I want to see if there's someone with similar experiances here.

If possible, it would really help if you could record a short video that shows what's happening.

Our efforts consist of 2 layers. First; connect medical institutions and hospitals to (local) 3D Printing hubs to help them print parts of which a 3D model already exists. And second, contribute to design the necessary part and then have it printed via a (local) 3D printing hub. Experts are available from within Ultimaker and from within our network of 3D printing experts.
