extruder clogs if cancelled print

for some reason if I cancel a print, even if I let it cool down all the way and then start a new print, it almost always fails, i.e. no filament extrudes whatsoever.

Loading and re-loading filament seems to work, but it seems quite ridiculous to have to do so.

printing pla mostly at 210

I have the same problem every time I abort. You need to pull the filament out of the top of the extruder head unit (remove blue clip and bowden tube) and cut the tip of the plastic that has become deformed. It should work fine after that. also dont forget to warm up your machine a tad when u do this.

I think the problem it's the way you 'cancel'. If you turn the machine off, the little fan that cools the machine (assuming you talk about um2 since you don't tell what machine you use) then, the pla on the hotend area will heat/expand/block. Just, let it cool down naturally, or do an atomic pull after each print to check that your hotend it's really clean.
