Max temp error

Hi I just got my printer almost up except im getting A max temp error and have not been able to connect to my printer and settings are on auto find on port and baud rate .but no connect

Which printer do you have? Ultimaker 2 or Ultimaker Original?

Max temp error usually occurs during a print when the heater doesn't respond quick enough. What happens exactly when you turn on the printer?
