Ultimaker first printed component ?

Recommended Posts

Posted · Ultimaker first printed component ?

Ultimaker has produced its kits with delrin, ribber, wood, steel....

lots of material but I dont think, they ever actually printed a component and put it into their sets ???

or am i wrong ????

so would that mean that the new cute yellow pla printed component with the new extruder drive upgrade, would be officialy the first inhouse printed official set component ??

Ian

um. why does it matter? ;) is this so the history books record the momentous occasion of the rise of UM to world domination correctly?

not to rain but, my UM is starting to look more and more that it's made of plastic so not very impressed. I think they should make more use of the system their selling and give a bom (sell the non printable parts) and stl for bits we can print ourselves ... use the technology.

It's indeed our first self-printed part in the kit. We actually print them at the UM HQ. I'll ask around about the open-source status of the upgrade.
