Cura Won't Load

Until recently we were running Cura 14.06. A few days ago the splash screen starting coming up but it stopped going past that. We reinstalled with no luck. We installed 15.04.4 and get the same result. We've tried other users on the same PC with the same result.

We are running Windows 7 SP2 x64.

Any ideas what might be going on or where to look for clues?

Have you recently done any changes to firewalls/anti-virus software on the PC? cura uses a local TCP socket to communicate between the front and backend so if that is being blocked that might have something to do with it perhaps?

No changes that I'm aware of.

Would there be a log somewhere that might help?  Nothing is showing up in event viewer.

Firewall should not infuence it stoppping after splash screen. Updating your graphic card drivers (or it dying) might cause these issues.

The latest video drivers are installed. The card works fine in Autodesk Inventor.

Any other ideas? Is there a log somewhere?

Nope. I can only recommend trying the new version of Cura. It will be in beta soon.
