I really can't without all the measures. I can Imagine them but won't work without a github of the parts (that should happen in 6monthsnor so I suppose).

Anyhow I'm developing it all. Might not even work but still :D

Hey who said that replacing a fridge handle can't be useful _and_ fun :)

(left original .stl, right the finished fridge handle)

No, though the shape is different, I was thinking more off a functional non esthetic part.

Close to two weeks to go, curious to see what other type of upgrades we will see!

Initially I figured I would see upgrades to cars / car-kits, fixtures, things around the house / office and maybe even cats :p

Hey wayit, if you modify the hand to fit 2.85mm filament in there, then it could be used to "park" the filament after you have removed it manually (because if you let it go half the roll might unroll).

Here is my contest entry. I upgraded my Ultimaker 2 with a custom enclosure. All parts are printed with the Ultimaker 2 with the Ultimaker Metallic Grey. The design is complete with openable upper lid, openable front door, and HEPA filtration unit. Because my Ultimaker 2 is my baby, I designed the enclosure to be mounted by friction only - no screws or holes penetrate the Ultimaker.

    Hello,

my entry for the contest !

Ça faisait longtemps que je voulais faire ces boîtes, c'est l'occasion !

On peut les glisser l'une sous l'autre ou les poser sur le bureau, les déplacer...bref c'est super pratique !! :)

Wurl, this does not technically count as an entry, but a solution to something that was really bugging me, namely the bowden tube distorting horribly.

In order to calculate how many rubber bands I needed and what tension would be required, I used a complex method with essentially involves grabbing several at random and agonising over the colour choice. Works a charm.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
