Thickness of calibration card ?

Recommended Posts

Posted · Thickness of calibration card ?

Hello,

we lost respectively can't find the calibration card of our Ultimaker 2 Extended.

Can somebody measure the thickness of the card to replace it by another sheet of paper for now?

Or isn't it a good idea? Other hints?

Many thanks in advance for your help!

I'd guess it's intended to be 0.15mm

I measured mine as 0.14mm with some digital calipers.

Try getting a "feeler gauge" from an auto-parts shop. They're used for setting the gap on spark plugs.

But get two instead, in case you loose one again ;)

Also it could be an idea to develop a feel for the levelling of your bed on eye sight. You'll probably learn it through experience, but in that case you wouldn't need an aid anymore at all :)

I just use normal office printer paper.... always available and works fine... and as it has some structure you feel the smallest friction very good.
