extruder fan duct

Recommended Posts

I'm currently stuck on the extruder section. The fan duct either seems to be too small or the fan too big as the curved section of the fan duct touches the fan well before the tab/slots mate up. I've just removed the fan and duct to try different configurations to get them to fit but it just seems as if the duct is too small. I've measured it and the perforations around the mounting holes are 50 x 50mm which is the size of the fan, but the curved part starts to curve before the top of the fan, hence an interferance. The flap which folds over is 50mm wide but has slots 44mm wide, these are then supposed to fit the tabs on the other side which are 50mm apart! other than this the assembly has been easy but this just doesnt seem right
