Posted · Layer view much different then normal view.. what happened?

Hello,

I m trying to print a regular round base... it has all kind of polygons and segments but the top of the base is previewed in "layers" as hollow... anybody has an idea whats going on ?

    Have you looked at your model in x ray View to see if there are errors with your model?

    Make sure you haven't turned off top/bottom layers.

    Hi,

    This problem is due to your saving quality in your CAD software.

    You can limit the polygon number and by this way you have a model like this one, with "plate" angles.

    So just save it in higher res !

    Again, look at it in xray view. Anything that is red (not blue or white) is a problem.

    Make sure spiralize is turned off. Make sure top/bottom are both checked. You might want to also make sure infill % is > 0 but that is not mandatory to get a top in the slice view.
