You realize this was a 3-year old post?
If I am not mistaken, how many heads a 3D printer has can be defined in the user interface of Cura.
You don't need any programming for this. This should be possible when inputting the parameters of a new printer.
Edited by TinkermanHi Guys,
I did realise this was old but I am desperate to try and get my Mankati printer going. I was hoping the originator would be able to help.
CURA, I have tried to set the mankati set up as a new printer but it produces incredibly slow prints. 19 hrs for a print a similar machine completes in under an hour. The print head moves, stops, waits 20-30 seconds (enough to melt the substrate), prints, stops, waits and melts, and so on.
I'm stuck with a printer that I have spent hours and hours on fixing the mechanical problems, but I cannot produce satisfactory detailed prints.
Any help would be appreciated, please bear in mind I have not worked out what to do with plug ins yet.

On the slow profile, check your Maximim Z speed limit. If it’s zero, that’s the problem.
This should be fixed in later versions.
Thanks Guys,
I'll give it a go, anything to get results!

Actually you don't need this platform definition in order for your printer to work of course.
This is just a graphical presentation of the platform of the Mankati in Cura, so that you will see the 3D shape of the actual platform instead of just a ground plane grid.. It's just cosmetic. nothing more.
I wish you all the best configuring your printer!
Huib.

Hi,
Thank for the work to do this as I want to use Cura with my XT Plus. The newer versions of Cura show the printer with only 1 print head. Do you know how to make this a dual head definition?
I know nothing about the code required, but if you can give me a heads up, I'll have a go.
