Old cura slices at the nozzle size 0.4. New cura uses 0.35 with a 0.4. So you actually need to open the hidden settings by default and edit the line width

Tried that with Cura 2.3.0 (Release) and it still doesn't fill in between the walls.

Have you try to actually print them? I would like to see a print VS one with the other. Ofc I would recommend S3D to do that, since I'm not much of a Cura-Lover but you should try to see how the print goes, and from there maybe something can be improved. For example, if you split the Text from that 3D and use the 'Per object setting' you could increase the wall line of that TXT to be 0.41 0.42 etc etc until the infill and wall is as you want. (that's what I do on S3D)

It prints just as it looks in the Slicer: gaps between the walls.

The only way I've got it to fill in the walls properly is to set the Wall Line Count to 1.

It appears that Cura is deciding that with a higher Wall Line Count, it can't fit a wall in there, so instead of infill, it just gives up.

That has annoyed me too several times. There should be at least infill. An advanced solution would be, if Cura would not persist in building the wall lines symmetrical from both sides. Like with 0,4mm line width and a 2mm thick feature, it would seem logical to me, if Cura lays down 5 lines, no matter if linecount is 3, 4 or 5. This you also could print features only one line thick instead of a minimum of 2x the line width.

    Found my Aurora A3 printer!

    It's in:

    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\cura\machine_instances\Prusa+i3.stack.cfg

Any ideas where the location could be on a Mac...?!

changed and added some machines, but cannot find any .cfg in the user/.cura folder with the date of today and/or a name that I would recognize.

[there are older cfg files, but not from today]

    cheers / joris

    Sorry, that's where I would've looked.

Any Mac users know where the Cura Printer configs are??

    ~/Library/Application Support/cura/machine_instances

This folder should also be easily accessible through the Help->Show Configuration Folder menu.

I have an issue with Cura 2.3.0, near the end of a print it shifts to right and starts printing mid air. I tested normal profile and a custom one.

The issue doens't happen with Cura 2.1.0

this is the last layer according to G-code simulator:

EDIT: it seems to be a bug in the win64 version of cura 2.3.0, with the win32 it is ok.

Not 100% clear, I removed the win32 version again and installed the win64 again and not the error is gone. I have printed the parts several times with different settings in cura all producing the error that was before I ever installed the win32 version of Cura 2.3.0. Now it seems te be fixed.

There is a bug with duplicate models @nallath. The ability to say how many copies you want has disappeared. If you want 12 models you have to right click and select "Duplicate model" and repeat 11 times. Before you just entered 11 copies please.

This wasn't in there in 2.1 either. Its on our backlog.

The described performance problem is really annoying which sometimes also leads to crashes!

Cura 2.3 works great, however I can't seem to alter the machine settings to enable a default offset for the dual extruder. So I am adjusting this feature manually.

More importantly, there are long pauses (up to 10minutes) when changing between print heads. And at the start of some layers, there is an almost duplicate G0 code, which may or may not have to do with it. Does anyone know what to do with this?

    Hey guys,

I am bringing this matter back to life with the CURA 2.5 BETA. I modified the Ultimaker dual original fine to make my own and when i try to add the machine, this message pops up

    Version: 2.5.0-BETA

    Platform: Windows-10-10.0.14393

    Qt: 5.7.1

    PyQt: 5.7.1

    Exception:

    Traceback (most recent call last):

File "D:/2.5/build/inst/lib/python3.5/site-packages/cura\BuildVolume.py", line 435, in _onStackChanged

File "D:/2.5/build/inst/lib/python3.5/site-packages/cura\BuildVolume.py", line 499, in _updateDisallowedAreas

File "D:/2.5/build/inst/lib/python3.5/site-packages/cura\Settings\ExtruderManager.py", line 377, in getUsedExtruderStacks

    KeyError: '0'

Do you know whats happening with this?

    Thank you

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
