Hello everyone!

My boss told me to serch the web for the best 3D printer(compared repraps :? , makerbot and ultimaker) for our company and here we are :)

Everyone in the office is so excited and looking forward for our prototyper

It would be great if someone out there could help us with some informations about getting started with the ultimaker!

we ordered a full assembled kit, some spare parts and the netfabb engine software for the ultimaker today...(and some kg's of pla and abs)

So... Is there already a topic or post about getting starting with calibration, which firmware we should choose and such things?

with kind regards

karl

I would recommend starting out with Cura:

http://software.ultimaker.com/

It's our free software option, and it will help you initially setup the machine with proper firmware. It will also do some check ups, and help you level the printer bed. It's also easy to do your first prints from there. Netfabb is more powerful but also harder to use because of it.
