Can't edit posts?

Anybody else not fond of the fact that the forums here don't let you edit posts?

Any good reasons for not asking UM to change it?

It seems to be it bug in the system and they are unable to fix it....

There is a timeout on post editing. It's against link spam, which posts harmless messages and edits in links days after. All that work to increase google ranks. It's a shame, but it's needed.

There is no error - the edit button just goes away, either after some timeout or after somebody responds to a post.

Maybe renaming the "Assembly" forum to "Assembly & Maintenance" (I'm an advocate of less sub-forums instead of more)
