It would be very difficult to make using it more of a pain in the butt. That's more work than using Slic3r to set the layer heights manually, and Slic3r can do it with any FDM printer.

Bad programmer! Bad Job!

I use this in Simplify3D, although it is not automatic. Very practical for boxes with rounded/chamfered edges. It would be cool if given a set of settings the slicer could select by itself the one with highest quality while retaining a sensible speed. The same goes with more adaptive control of the infill.

This is no good for smoothing as printing anything below .06 would be a nono for me eitherway regardless. Looks ok in principle (if printers layed down square filament, but unfortunately its edges are curved not cubic) hence for FDM this is a no.
