Bed leveling & printing

I got my new Ultimaker kit a week ago, so I did the assembly and everything seemed to be how it should be but then as I did the bed leveling with cura(first front left corner then back left corner) and then normally the right back corner but it stopped at approximately 1/4 of the way to the corner. So that was the first problem. I think it has to be something with the software because manually I can switch the axes to where it should be.

Second problem is the plastic does not stick on the tape of the platform. I don't know how to make this better.

A third problem is while printing when it luckily sticks to the tape it does not print the layers on top of the others. It prints like displaced to the left(always about 1 cm). So now i didn't manage to print anything yet.

Could anyone help me please

Thank you

    Hi Joe,

This sounds like a typical loose pulley problem.

I would advice you to go by all the pulleys with your screwdriver and double check them.

Don't forget the one at your motors.

This would explain your first and third problem. Due to a loose pulley the axis can rotate freely in the pulley, and the movement can not fully be transmitted to the print head.

Regarding to problem 2, your bed is most likely just a little bit too low.

Please go to wiki.ultimaker.com/Calibrate for an image on how your first layer should look like.

The filament should slightly be pressed in the tape for good adhesion.

But keep in mind not to block the hole in the nozzle because then no filament can be extruded.

On that page are also tips on how to level your bed again.

    Good luck!
