Can you change out the nozzles on the print core with hardened ones?

I am looking to purchase my first Ultimaker 3. I know that there is only 2 types of print cores out right now, but are we able to swap out the nozzle for a hardened one for specialty filaments?

3dsolex announced today some 3rd party core upgradea. As of today you can get steel nozzles for um3 cores and soon likely other choices.  So not yet from ultimaker but yes available from 3dsolex.

    Hi, JClay,

Ultimaker does not advise attempting to disassemble the Cores, because the double heat break is very fragile.

It's designed to help keep the interior of the tube significantly cooler than the brass and prolong the life of the Core; it does this really well, but by necessity, that makes the thin neck fragile. Attempting to remove the nozzle tip can result in breaking the thin neck on the Core and making it unusable altogether.

What erin says is so true! Those Cores are very delicate! I strongly recommend you don't even try to loosen the screw holding in the heater - that alone can break the core.

Instead ship then to 3dsolex and let them do it as they have taken apart a dozen or so cores by now.
