Order # 1827

Payment confirmed 3/16/2012

Jealous of how quickly italianmaxx got his ;)

Tracking received 4/20/2012 @ exactly 5 weeks. Yesterday I found out about the Ulticontroller and asked to have it added to my order only to have the shipment notification show up only hours later; they informed me they can't add it to my order. Definitely not worth another €60 of shipping for an €80 thing.

Oh well, at least it's coming home finally!

    Hi Tinsoldier,

I am sorry to hear it couldn't be included in your shipping.

Keep an eye out for the Ulticontroller, we are looking for alternatives on shipping (costs).

I didn't even finish my sentence and this is posted on the Blog post on blog.ultimaker.com/

    More affordable shipping

We’ve added shipping alternatives and negotiated with DHL to get better rates.

DHL shipping costs are lowered by 20% as of today.

For small parts under 200 grams, there’s a new, very affordable postal method (between € 8.50 euros for NL and € 13.50 Worldwide)!

For parts and PLA up to 2 kg, costs are € 28.50 worldwide, and even lower in europe.

Keep checking our blog, we will be updating it more frequently now a days!

Got my tracking number today (24/5) ... Time to start clearing a space to build and operate it. :-)

Arrived today (29/5), pretty good since it spent 2.5 days stuck in customs (landed in Australia Friday night).

Frame is together and 3 axis motors mounted so far, a full photo log will follow...

I know this might not be quite the right thread for this but I didn't want to create a new one just for one silly question. What I'm wondering is if anyone knows what kind of timeframe to expect for shipment of spare parts? I ordered a v3 bolt over a week ago and it still hasn't shipped. Now I realise that the guys are swamped with "real" orders but I just feel like such a tiny order should be able to get filled relatively quick since it's just a matter of dropping a bolt in an envelope.

edit: I guess I'll answer myself :) Ordered on the third and it was delivered today. It seems someone forgot to update the status of the order to "shipped" hehe.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
