Recommended Posts

FOR SALE: ULTIMAKER 2+ 3D PRINTER

Excellent condition, prints super reliably in very fine detail, I have used this model for samples / prototypes and also for finished sale items.

Originally bought new in February 2017 from 3DGBIRE.

PRICE:

£1,450 + delivery. Sorry, no offers.

PRINT HOURS

Only used for 544 hours and in very good pretty much 'as new' condition - please see below for more info.

PRINTER CONDITION

It's in excellent condition! I have had no issues at all with the printer.

VIDEO OF PRINTER

You can see a video of my printer working here: https://youtu.be/AR0I3m4CPWY

I have loads of photos so if you'd like any more info please do ask.

SPARE NOZZLES AND SOME FILAMENT

The printer comes with 4 nozzles 0.25/0.4/0.6/0.8 and I've only used the 0.25 and the 0.4. I bought two spare nozzles, a 0.4 and a 0.25 which have never been used. These will come with the printer. There is also a small roll left of the original silver Ultimaker filament (see photo) plus a small quantity of neon pink Faberdashery filament that I'd used for testing.

REASON FOR SALE

I am only selling this printer as I no longer need it. We have a few of this same model of printers and this one is not being used as we don't need the print volume. I used this one to print a series of prototypes and then as a demo model to take to a 4 day trade show, it worked super reliably and with no issues. It was only operated by me and was not touched by any visitors. Since then I have printed a few things using it, with no issues. It prints very reliably down to a very small size, with fine detail. It's a really excellent printer. I have tested solid print runs for 2 days straight (e.g. 48 hours) with no errors.

DELIVERY

Either collection in person, I can delivery within 10 miles of Penryn Cornwall for free, or you are welcome to organise a courier delivery. I have the original Ultimaker box and it will be carefully packed back into this for delivery. I would recommend adding courier insurance if you opt for this delivery option.

    • "Back To The Future" using Generative Design & Investment Casting
Designing for light-weight parts is becoming more important, and I’m a firm believer in the need to produce lighter weight, less over-engineered parts for the future. This is for sustainability reasons because we need to be using less raw materials and, in things like transportation, it impacts the energy usage of the product during it’s service life.
