Mark2 dual extrusion ponderings

Posted (edited) · Mark2 dual extrusion ponderings

I happened across the Mark2 project yesterday. Maybe it's the sleep deprivation (new baby), but I nearly wept when I saw it, it's such a clever and beautiful design.

Please forgive my ignorance, as I have to ask... why can't you just permanently attach the second head? Do you really need to keep parking it?

Cheers,

Matt.

The advantage it's on the parking, you can avoid dripping from the other head while parks, and when it's engaged there's a few mm height difference so the main resting head doesn't hit/touch the printed part.

But probably someone can give you the long explanation

If you fell bored you can read this 51 pages of the first prototype @foehnsturm made to what it's today
