Whenever I try to use any of the functions or attempt to use the control bar at the top i have to click a few mm on screen just to be able to use them. This was happening in version 2.3 recently for me so I redownloaded cura in hopes that it was just the version of cura that something was going wrong but the problem persists im unsure as to what to do to solve the problem.

This is an issue between a specific Intel HD Graphics driver and Qt, the GUI framework used by Cura (and other applications such as MeshMixer).

You need to either upgrade or downgrade your Intel HD Graphics driver. See this post on the issue queue:

    • "Back To The Future" using Generative Design & Investment Casting
Designing for light-weight parts is becoming more important, and I’m a firm believer in the need to produce lighter weight, less over-engineered parts for the future. This is for sustainability reasons because we need to be using less raw materials and, in things like transportation, it impacts the energy usage of the product during it’s service life.
