I don't understand. Is it the "endstop" that is broken? How do you know?
Or is the X-axis making noises but it won't move?
To isolate only the X-axis, run cura, skip over the wizard, click the "prepare" button and then the "print" button next to the "prepare" button. This opens a new window. In that window go to the movement tab and move *only* the Y axis. Move it 10mm at a time in both directions. Do you hear any noise? What moves? What doesn't move?
