Yellow/Cloudy PVA

Recommended Posts

Posted · Yellow/Cloudy PVA

The PVA we have always received up to now, or that has come with the machines, has always had a slight yellow tint but been quite transparent.

Upon opening a new sealed roll this morning the PVA was a dark yellow and very brittle, is this normal?

(I haven't tried printing with it yet, its a 3 day print that needs to work so I found another roll we had that looks normal)

Dear @Oj00,

I agree that your PVA shouldn't behave and look like this. Please contact your reseller so they can trace back which PVA you have received and come up with a solution.

Dear @Oj00,

Can you let me know if you contacted your reseller already? Was it an Ultimaker (translucent) spool? And was it 350 g or 750 g? I hope to hear more from you.

Hi,

I have contacted them, waiting on a response from them. It was an Ultimaker spool and it was a 350g one. I have just discovered that we actually have two in this condition. Thanks,
