HI There :) I'm Baha Abunojaim, CTO and co-founder of Mixed Dimensions, the developers of MakePrintable, I thought of starting a thread here so that I can get feedback and suggestions from the Cura community regarding our file repairing and optimization technology.

We are hard at work improving MakePrintable day and night and we want to hear more from you on what you would like us to add to it and how was your experience with it so far and whether you faced any issues that we need to take a closer look at.

MakePrintable repairs files by reconstructing the whole geometry and insuring issues such as wall thickness, clearance, intersecting geometries, non-manifolds, boundary edges, flipped faces and open holes are all fixed and your model is solid for printing. Last month we introduced our Mammoth technology which is way more advanced than our previous fixing technology and in the weeks to come we are going to launch our ultra resolution repair which takes details to the next level but we still have plans for more advanced features that we are going to launch and I would really love to hear what features will make your life easier and enhance your workflow that we can actually add to our plugin and\or service.

HI @BahaAbunojaim,

thank you for your post and developing the plugin. I think it will be helpful for many users. I'm also curious about feedback, I'm sure when time is due reports will come in :) Perhaps you can fuel some discussion if you could elaborate on some of the things you are planning on adding to MakePrintable, perhaps this will ignite some feedback too. Have a great day!

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
