I wish you lots of Luck, it will be a very hard journey as these materials are very difficult to master but when you do master them there will be nothing more satisfying, in future i will be bringing out a kit for HT and right equipments so more people can use these, will just add a nice print i Did in black Ultem1010 :)

@rajilpahuja Thank you for the positive outlook. I wish you the best in creating and fine tuning your experiments to bring the community highly advanced upgrades for these engineering and medical plastics.

I like the advantages of the UM2 but i haven't heard back from the seller. My options are still open to both the UMO+ and the UM2 with your generous recommendations. Right now its boiling down to the initial cost since the used UM2 is less than the UMO+ Kit. This can change as new opportunities arise

Yes its pretty tough with these materials @kmanstudios somedays u feel you mastered them somedays its like you keep finding whats wrong, specially when u change anything in the setup, even when you will use different nozzles u will need to recalibrate the flow, as you know generally there can be tolerances with nozzles, so then its back to tests, optimize the flow rates again, its just a small example i am giving, these materials dont like relatively less than good tuning at all, in one of my twitter posts i mentioned that its better to be using Ruby nozzles, as i found out that brass nozzles wear out quicker when printing this high temperature, or you need another material which can take high temps, these are just some pointers i can give of the problems that may come.

Rajilpahuja - Your "Bondtech BMG extruder on UM2+" is a direct drive version using an E3D style print head.  I have searched thoroughly and cannot find a mount configuration for BMG+E3D on UM2 style printer.  Is this your own custom mod?  If so, can you share CAD model or share what base UM2 E3D mount you modified?

    Hi There ,

I gave the mod to bondtech ..... you will have to contact Mr Martin there .... i think he will be happy to provide you this ..... in the meanwhile i will search for the file as well .... it was made on my old PC so i will need to look at the backups .... but i am sure martin has it .... and will make this for you ..... 😊

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
