Ultimaker 3 Exhaust Requirements

Recommended Posts

Posted · Ultimaker 3 Exhaust Requirements

Hello,

My workplace is looking into purchasing an Ultimaker 3 for use in our office. The plan is to install the printer in the conventional printer room and let the building's air circulation take care of venting. After making the proposal our workplace planning dept. asked about exhaust requirements. Our office building is LEED Silver certified and we need to meet indoor air quality requirements in order to keep this qualification. Does anyone know if any research has been done on exhaust requirements for various filament materials?

If you are going to be printing in PLA then you will be absolutely fine. Just don't print in ABS, hell of a stink!
