A usable workaround:
Use Mesa-drivers for opengl instead of system drivers:
DisplayLink drivers in combination with intel drivers seem to often cause issues with white/blank windows ;D
thanks, this worked for me

- Download the latest version (x86 or x64 matching your cura build) from http://download.qt.io/development_releases/prebuilt/llvmpipe/windows/?C=M;O=D
- Extract the *.7z (for example with 7zip)
- Rename the opengl32sw.dll to opengl32.dll
- Copy the opengl32.dll to your cura-folder
- Run cura: No more blank windows ;D

I created an account just to say thanks!! This worked like a charm.
Thanks Geeky! I had the white screen on updating to 4.4, and your workaround worked like a charm :)

The blank window is the dialog that is trying to tell you that Cura has crashed, but it has a bug in itself so it stays blank.
What OS do you use?
Could you try Cura 3.0, or the Cura 3.2 beta that was released yesterday?
