Under Extrusion from Cura Gcode???

Good Day...  I have an odd under extrusion issue that seems to be caused by Cura 3.1. I've printed the same model in Cura 15.04.3 and had success with the ~same settings. It under extrudes in the same spot every time with the start and stop points. The rest of the model prints great and is rigid. It seems to be caused by the starting radius of the three ribs.

Material: PLA... Settings below... Has anybody else experienced anything like this?

You triggered me to check if Cura 15 solved the same issue you are having: indeed it helps using Cura 15x to generate Gcode!

There is something different in the generated Gcode between Cura Old and new...

I'm in the luxury position to have several UM to my command (UMO+, UM@+ and UM3)

Haven't been using the UMO+ because of the irregular feeding issues.

Changed: Nozzle, Heatblock, Teflon isulator, Tube, Feedgrinder: nothing worked.

Now i'm printing the second part with Gcode Cura 15: and it works like a charm!!

    UM  do something about it!!!

Thank you for looking into it, I thought it must be the Gcode. I installed 3.2 Beta and had the same under extrusion in that area. The only thing that gave me success in that area was to turn up the heat by 10° and over-extruded by 10%. The part turned out reasonably well that way. I love the features in 3.1 and 3.2 compared to 15, so I hope they can find a fix.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
