Hi, I generally post my photos in the main sticky post, but I thought maybe this one deserved it's own thread. This is my first completed project. So far I have only been printing busts and small objects, but no large size character. This is a new milestone and I hope the first of many.

Unfortunately, I won't get to keep this one, this is for friend's birthday tomorrow. This is a model he made. I will eventually print a new version for myself, and since I modeled his wife, I will print her too and have them stand together.

The model is divided in the following parts: the jacket, the pants, the shoes, the hand, the head and the glasses.

The shoes, head and glasses were printed at 0.06mm while the rest of the body was printed at 0.1mm.

No real difficulty in that print except for the glasses, which forced me to go below 0.1mm for the first time

Since the legs were the biggest part, I scaled them the biggest I could print and then scaled the other parts accordingly. the legs are 18.5cm tall, I did not want to push it to the limit an keep a safe zone. Once assembled, the whole thing stands about 30cm tall.

I wanted to give it a real paint job with colors but I was too short on time. I only had two weeks to prepare the model (the longest part), print it, clean it and paint it. In fact the printing part was the shortest, I did it over one weekend.

So I just primed it with gray and sprayed it with a very nice stainless steel paint.

I then glued the character to a small round mirror because he would not stand up

Edit: Here is a WIP shot
