I am very new to 3D printing and loving it so far.  I am having an issue when preparing to print which involves the gcode.  As you can see in the attached image, Cura 3.2.1 is telling me the imported gcode file cannot be modified.  The file I am importing has been created in Autodesk Fusion 360 and exported to Autodesk Print Studio. Print Studio is then exporting to Cura as a gcode. Can someone explain what I am doing wrong here?

Cura takes an STL file as the input.  Try to output an STL file from autodesk fusion 360.  Then cura creates the gcode file as *output*.  It can indeed read one in just to see (kind of) what the print will look like but it can't do anything other than display it.

The *printer* takes the gcode file as input.

      • Ultimaker Cura 5.6 stable released
Cura now supports Method series printers!

A year after the merger of Ultimaker and MakerBotQQ, we have unlocked the ability for users of our Method series printers to slice files using UltiMaker Cura. As of this release, users can find profiles for our Method and Method XL printers, as well as material profiles for ABS-R, ABS-CF, and RapidRinse. Meaning it’s now possible to use either Cura or the existing cloud-slicing software CloudPrint when printing with these printers or materials
