Has variable skin/infill been done or feasible

1st post long time cura user. Thank you for a good slicer.

After talking about layer height in a FB forum a thought occurred to me.

Has any one tried to do a variable thickness perimeter and infill.

To be clear, run three layers of perimeter at .1 then .3 infill then repeat. Infill is only printed every 3rd layer. In my mind I think it would greatly speed up the process. I was also thinking they would have to force a 3 wall perimeter to ensure layers above had enough plastic to print on.

Just a thought

This feature already exists in cura.  I'm not sure if it's billed as extra skin layers or fewer infill layers.  I think extra skin.  I can't find it but I know it's part of cura somewhere.

Not sure if I didn't explain myself well but I don't think you r understanding

The purpose of this feature is to be able to print at lower z height on only the skin and higher in the infill. I don't think that this is a feature in any slicer that I am aware of
