Could you first see if your front fan is still working? It can be something as simple as a small string of filament preventing the blades from spinning. When it can not cool properly, heat can travel up through the filament and make it soft higher up in the extrusion train, where it continuously receives pressure from more material which is being fed in. So it expands, and at some point can't be pushed down any further. Good luck!
