Filament sizes with S5

Posted · Filament sizes with S5

Hi there

I have been printing on my S5 happily for a while now but I want to try PETG which seems to be unavailable in ultimakers range.  Is it possible for me to use PETG with a smaller diameter? The ulti stuff is 2.85 but the PETG I have is 1.75mm. If I can do I have to make changes to the settings somewhere?

Or is CPE similar enough that I should just choose that instead? What I want to do is print with a strong material available in different colours, I'm open to filament type but never used ABS before.  I have experience printing PLA, PETG and Nylon

I do not see why you would have a problem finding a PETG in 2.85 mm. You should also look at Taulman's T-Glas as it is their PETG formula and I enjoy it on my UM3E and S5.
