Introducing Ultimaker Cura 3.5 | Beta

Recommended Posts

oki, where would my questions have a bigger chance for getting an answer?

i have posted one other thread but no luck there either

otherwise i can only say thumbs up to the software, it has come a long way since i used it last time. I'm just a control freak when it comes to how the code is exported

I did a performance test on that 3.5 file using Callgrind and got this result: http://dulek.net/work/3.5-beta-callgrind.out.3886

This seems to point to this change: https://github.com/Ultimaker/CuraEngine/pull/791

We'll continue discussion there.

@Ghostkeeper,

I posted the same a few days back for cura 3.6, as the problem seems to persist. Do jou know if this will be resolved in the future?

    • Ultimaker Cura | a new interface
      We're not only trying to always make Ultimaker Cura better with the usual new features and improvements we build, but we're also trying to make it more pleasant to operate. The interface was the focus for the upcoming release, from which we would already like to present you the first glance.

    • "Back To The Future" using Generative Design & Investment Casting
      Designing for light-weight parts is becoming more important, and I’m a firm believer in the need to produce lighter weight, less over-engineered parts for the future. This is for sustainability reasons because we need to be using less raw materials and, in things like transportation, it impacts the energy usage of the product during it’s service life.
