Visually repair a scratched surface of PLA

Posted (edited) · Visually repair a scratched surface of PLA

So I have finished printing a very big piece. I had trouble separating it from the cristal base, I used a spatula for that, but I scratched the surface:

Is there anything I can do to fix it? I have thought about heating that area through a piece of glass.

    Heating is not so good, it will deform quicker than you can fix the surface.

    I would sand it a little bit and if you use 1000 or 2000 in the end, it should get quite nice.
