cura 3.5.0 not opening stl, obj, 3mf via drag and drop

when i drag and drop ether of the file types cura thinks for a moment and crashes doesn't pop up with an error just crashes can any one help? or when i double click.

 

the only way i have to open files is the use meshmixer and import with that.

 

i what to have that fixed

i dug alittle more into the isue and found out that its stuff loaded from external drives
