Capacitive sensor board

Recommended Posts

Posted · Capacitive sensor board

Ive been having trouble getting my Ultimaker 3 to print. Through many hours of troubleshooting I discovered wires in the print head had melted together. It was on the capacitive sensor board in the middle of the fans shown below. I need to replace the whole board or if I can get just the wires themselves.

Theoretically, you can repair it yourself, you just need two cables and then solder it together. It is maybe a little bit tricky, but it should work.

Otherwise, if you prefer to get the spare part, contact @fbrc8-erin, she can tell you what is available and what you need.

I've had these break twice now on my (beta) S5 and soldered them back on and they work great.

Also be aware you can disable auto leveling (I don't do autoleveling on my UM3, only my S5).
