Diagonal speed limit raft print speed

Posted (edited) · Diagonal speed limit raft print speed

On my Creality Ender 3 printer, when rafts generated by Cura 4.0.0 are being printed, when the direction of the lines are diagonal using both X and Y motors, it seems I always get under-extrusion and ultimately jamming of my bowden tubes. It rarely happens at any other times in my prints. Observing the extruder I see the bearing slipping when the gear tries to push the filaments in.

 

Please note that I am using flexible TPU filament from AmazonBasics and that this issue may be unique to this filament and printer combo (stock, upgrade Bowden tubes incoming ūüėĄ).

 

Print speed I had was 20mm/s

Could someone with similar equipment investigate? Potentially better equipment might require higher speeds to encounter the same issue.
