Hi r4ph,

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried to enable the Radeon driver to launch Cura as you have advised, but there is still no simulation preview. I will try again on my laptop (which has a Nvidia GTX 1060) and report back.

Don't forget to turn off compatibility mode and restart the  cura afterany changes.

Hello. I have a similar problem. When I press the play button to see the building animation, I can see just a few seconds. The building animation is a few seconds short, and its building only the end of my Yoda. I tried ot search on internet, but i couldn't t find anything useful. I just started 3D. Thanks.

EDIT:! I got it now. I found out by myself. Isn t a problem. Its the animation of the active layer. I was on layer 47, thats why the animation was so short.

That's normal.  It's playing the layer you have selected on the right.  In the same video you posted there is a vertical scroll bar.  You can use your mouse to grab the top ball and drag it downwards to see other layers.  You can also drag the bottom ball but I recommend sticking to the top ball.  Once you've clicked the top ball you can also use ctrl+up arrow and down arrow to scroll through the layers.

The play button only plays one layer - the current layer selected.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
