Ultimaker 3 cannot be contacted through wifi after around 30 minutes

Hi, I just bought an Ultimaker 3 and installed the newest firmware and I have the Cura 4.2 installed. The wifi setup worked and the printer is connected to wifi. However, after around 30 minutes or so, the printer cannot be contacted through wifi even though it says it has a connection to the wifi. I cannot even connect trough the browser to the printer when this happens. This is happening constantly to me.

The current workaround seems to be to restart the printer when this happens but this is quite annoying especially when doing a lot of test prints for small parts and doing minor tweaking to the parts.

Any help?

I just setup a UM3 Extended. Upgraded the firmware via USB. And I am unable to complete wifi setup. It creates an access point I cannot connect to. I've tried using an iPhone, 2 Android phones, and a Macbook Pro and they all fail to connect to the access point my Ultimaker created.

Pygex, I am having the same issue!  I have searched everywhere and posted on a few different threads without much luck.  Just this week I discovered the bug has something to do with the tool change.  That would explain why it dies after 20-30 minutes.  The first layer!  This week I printed a few times without using core 2 and it has stayed connected almost all week.  It is the first time I have kept it connected in months. Please try a few prints without a tool change and reply back...  My BB print core two is still installed but I just leave it empty and it is disabled in cura (4.4).

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
