Hi @thorsenrune, that sounds amazing. Could you elaborate a little bit more about what the process is like? Do you focus on certain applications, or do you look per patient how they could be helped with certain 3D printed aids? Are you considering all the different materials to find those which are comfortable to touch, or strong enough?

I print adult toy proto types... from which we make molds and then do our own molds for plastics injection. I am thinking of adding a resin 3d printer so there is less finish work necessary to speed up things. But keeping the filament printer for prototyping.

I am also printing accessories and tools for quilting and machine knitting. Big hobby of mine.

And I am printing/learning about/ playing with custom orthotics.

And now the husband has discovered just how many kinds of things he can ask for, such as replacement hinges for a cooler (the old hinges had broken), brackets, tool holders, etc.

So I have found the Ultimaker 5 fits into my life for work, for everyday, for feeding my creative side, for many many more things that I conceived of before purchasing it.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
