Hey im Eva,

I'm a file tester for a 3D sharing platform. I use Ultimaker 1 (and also Up! Mini) for testing files before they are made avaliable to others.

I'm also learning 3D CAD modelling (well trying too!) using Maya and Zbrush.

I'm looking forward to seeing what people use their ultimaker for, and also hope to be able to help new ultimaker users out since i've been using one solidly for the past 2 months! (although im sure aswell i'll come up with a few questions!!).

    • Taking Advantage of DfAM
This is a statement that’s often made about AM/3DP. I'll focus on the way DfAM can take advantage of some of the unique capabilities that AM and 3DP have to offer. I personally think that the use of AM/3DP for light-weighting is one of it’s most exciting possibilities and one that could play a key part in the sustainability of design and manufacturing in the future.
