I am using Cura 4.4 with an Ender 3 and PLA.  I am trying to print out the Initiative Trackers shown on the left of the image below.  I turned them on their side so that the curve would have more strength.  Unfortunately, that left a long expanse to cover, and I ended up with stringing, as shown on the right.  I am trying to use Tree supports to prevent this, but every time I slice the file, I am not seeing any supports added.  What setting would influence whether or not supports are added to that lip?

Always look at your part in *PREVIEW* mode.  Under that make sure "line type" is selected and make sure every box is checked.  That will show you supports.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
