Best filament for 3D printing bolts and threaded rods.

Posted · Best filament for 3D printing bolts and threaded rods.

I'm wanting to print some bolts or threaded rods and I'm wondering what the best filament is for this application.

 

I've done it in PLA before and it works pretty good, I've also done Nylon and that also works pretty good but I'm worried that nylons flexibility won't lead to the best thread, perhaps PETG is a better choice?

 

What's the general preferred material for strong threads?
